A creative project started with hair and makeup artist Shinobu Igari.
The project began with the idea of adding playful doodles and makeup to portraits of historical figures from Japanese textbooks. Since then, we have created illustrations and goods such as cards.
The name “ekore” is pronounced “Eh? Kore?” in Japanese, meaning “Huh? This?”

Candle
ベートーヴェン、バッハ、モーツァルトをイメージし、それぞれのイメージに合わせて香りから制作しました。
顔にはマスクが描かれており、火を灯して温まるとマスクが外れ、メイクアップをした顔が現れる仕掛けになっています。
Inspired by Beethoven, Bach, and Mozart, we developed the candles starting with fragrances that reflected the image of each composer.
Each candle features a masked face. As the candle burns and warms, the mask melts away, revealing a made-up face underneath.

『Otona MUSE』（宝島社）で約10年間続いた、作家LiLyさんの連載「ここからは、オトナのはなし」のイラストレーションを担当しました。
連載開始から50回は、毎月変わるヘアメイクを描いた人物イラストを制作。その後は、毎月のテーマに合わせたモチーフを取り入れたイラストレーションへと展開しました。

Illustrations for the long-running series Koko kara wa, Otona no Hanashi by writer LiLy, published in Otona MUSE (Takarajimasha) for approximately ten years.
For the first 50 issues, I created illustrations of LiLy with a different hair and makeup look each month. The series later evolved into illustrations featuring motifs inspired by each month’s theme.
